Okaaayyy.... maybe not the whole costume but today, I am going to teach you how to make a pair of 'one-of-a-kind customized Skeleton Halloween Shoes'.
Damndirtyangel's style, of course!
Halloween is just 2 days away and you might want to make yourself a costume as fast as possible so here, I am going to show you how you can make a yourself an awesome pair of shoes and go out on Halloween night, not to scare people off but to impress! hehe...
First, you gonna to need a pair of cheap slip-on shoes. Preferably, fabric ones.

I bought myself a pair of white Vans kicks from Sg. Wang, KL, in August (if my memory does not fail me, they cost somewhere around RM50) and they were rarely worn cos they were too white. People tend to step on them every single time only to minta kena punch in face, seriously...
Naanihooosss, before you can start doing anything to your shoes, make sure that the shoes are clean. Wash em if they're dirty or smelly but if you just bought them and still brand new, you can begin right away!

With a pencil and a reference of a skeleton foot (which you can Google....DunaskfrommeIwont emailapicturetoyougofindyourselfblueekk!!), sketch out a skeleton feet on the front of the shoe. Do the same to the other shoe.

After sketching them with a pencil, you might wanna use a fine tip marker to draw out the linings of your skeleton feet

Now, the best type of paint to use for this project would be fabric dye which you can find from an graphic art store, however, I would highly recommend the use of Acrylic paint as the paint dries up really fast.
I use Daler-Rowney System3 Acrylic paint which you can also grab from any graphic stores.

Carefully paint outside the linings with you choice of color. Here I am using red as red is one of my fav color.
While painting, make sure you don't accidentally smudge paint on other parts of your shoe cos the stain doesn't come off easily.
After you have done painting, leave it to dry for 20 mins.

When the paint has dried up, you will want to continue painting your skeleton feet with white. Also when you're done, leave to dry for another 20 mins.

Now, you will need a Paint marker. Not just some ordinary marker but this type of marker is actually outdoor and UV proff. No worries, folks. You can get this marker from any supermarket with a good selection of stationeries.
Paint thick lines on your skeleton feet to make em look more striking and radiant!

Lastly, add some fine details to the bones with a fine tip water/weatherproof marker.
Again, leave to dry for 10 mins or so.
And viola!

You've got yourself a pair of awesome customized Halloween slip-ons!
This project will only take you less than a day to make.

To protect and retain colors,
I recommend spraying a thin layer of acrylic spray or fabric sealant on to the painted areas of the shoe.
